4th of July!
Hope you had a blessed Independence Day!
We decided to learn some California history.
Rebecca visited this Mission when she was a little girl.
A lovely dinner with Mom Loomis, where Steven read us the Declaration of Independence.
Steven took us up to some hills surrounding our city. It was beautiful!
Fireworks!!

Oh, the Santa Clara mission. I lived in Santa Clara all my life (and my parents just moved from there a year and a half ago. In fact, the first 5 years we lived right across the street where there is now a lawn mall and a new university building. The house was saved for historic reasons and is now kiddie corner to fire station 1 just about a block away.
What memories. :)

When you have a block of time, follow the Camino de Real all the way down the coast to San Diego. There is so much interesting history in Ca. And nearly every 4th grader in CA gets to build one of the missions during CA History class.
Glad you had a nice 4th.
