The picture of the closet floor is great! The best closet floor I have seen in a looong time! Am I right? Is this a closet floor? Perhaps in the kitchen Rebecca will be cooking in soon? The rest of the floor looks prepped and ready to go. What are we placing on it? Maybe something from the East – bamboo? I know you are both very busy, fill us in when you can.

Love you both – kiss one another! Hugs from me. Mrs. Houghton

It’s the floor of our new pantry. The rest of the floor (in almost the whole house) will have the same painted floor.

    -srl [kiss delivered!]

Love the color. Hope you’ll give us a little tour when all is finished.

I had no doubt that kiss would be delivered! Color looks great. Mom has filled me in on your very busy day today and I have been thinking about you and hoping it all went well with lots of progress. Bethany’s shower today brought back lots of great memories and discussion of your bridal shower…what fun we had! Hug (& kiss) each other again….

    Love, Mrs. Houghton

I’ve followed your blog for awhile now (since before the wedding as it was a link from the Serven’s blog) and just wanted to say how happy I am for you and Rebecca and your new marriage! I am intrigued by your home renovation project. Are you living in the home while doing all this?

Also, thank you so much for the photos of the Ethiopian restaurant you two frequent there. I have found one here in Seattle we are waiting to try. YUM!

    Steven and Rebecca,

Whilest you two do construction on your house, I do a different sort of construction. –I just finished constructing/decorating my own Birthday cake with my sister Phoebe. I am turning 12 today. We even made cupcakes too. My siblings have a treasure hunt that leads to a mysterious, different Birthday dessert for me. I can’t wait to find out what it is. You see, I LOVE mysteries. Not the worldly kind, of course.

    Blessings,
    Johanna Kautt
