Cables III
We tidied up the server closet a bit by building some shorter patch wires and strapping almost everything down.
100 Day Anniversary
Steven and I enjoyed discovering delicious Ethiopian cuisine on our 2 month anniversary . . . so for our 100 day anniversary, we decided to try and make some Ethiopian food! Though we didn’t have all the right spices (lacking coriander, turmeric, and ginger) every thing still tasted delicious.
Our 21″ platter was perfect as a dish to share!
We had stumbled across a little Ethiopian market the other day and picked up some Ingera. Tonight, we put together some Amhari (thick veggie stew), Spiced Chard (used this recipe as inspiration, but it was quite different as we didn’t have most of the ingredients . . . we used swiss chard and spinach and no cheese . . . next time we’ll try the collard greens), and Dorowat (this was delicious; it would be good served over rice too!). With Quofer served alongside (cultured kefired-colostrum from Organic Pastures), it was the perfect meal.
Mmm. A fun way to remember 100 days of marriage! God is so good. : )

More cables
Somehow you never forget T568B…
I did however almost forget a cover on the doorbell!
Cabling
On Saturday, among many other things, we installed a new access box for the cable modem connection, and pulled 25′ of cat5e+rg6/quad. It was a team effort. The patch panel is very happy bolted to the wall after years of “temporary” mounting.
Cabinets are on site!!
Construction things are hopping around here, this latter part of the week: finish electrical, finish roofing, finish stucco, a bit of painting, and at long last (!) our kitchen cabinets. :)
Here is a sneak peek of one of the doors, along with a lovely bouquet of flowers from my dear husband.
